As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim. Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat. That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

Dear Truth is Social Suicide (Tom Hayes),

As pointed out below, atmospheric turbulence, looming, temperature inversion, ducting, refraction and mirage effects invalidate all of the conclusions that you have drawn.

Reasons why your test will never be considered as valid by the scientific community:

*No independent observers to confirm your camera location & camera position with respect to the Lake Erie water line were present.
*You mention camera height above the water line and location several times, but no actual proof of your statements are presented.
*No temperature & humidity & air pressure measurements across the 25 mile optical line of sight were made.
*You did not calculate anticipated light refraction over the distance, and account for it.
*Reliability not yet established – An experiment must be tested multiple times by different researcher and must produce the same result to be considered as valid.
*Validity not yet established – measure of how correct the results of an experiment are. Whether the conclusion from the experiment is the real explanation for the phenomenon in the wider world.

The atmospheric band between the two arrows (in your image below) clearly shows the presence of significant atmospheric distortion.

During the summer months Lake Erie's water temperature rarely goes above 70^o / 72^o Fahrenheit. The Cedar Point Amusement Park is a hot bed of paved concrete, wood, brick, and metal structures. The temperature there is often 85^o F.

That produces an air temperature inversion/transition gradient of 12^o or greater. That air transition from 72^o to 85^o takes place within the first 0-10 meters above the water's surface.

Every sailor knows that an offshore breeze blows from land directly toward water.

THAT IS THE CAUSE of the atmospheric disturbances THAT INVALIDATE ALL YOUR CONCLUSIONS.

The Earth is a globe!

Summary - with a temperature inversion (increase or decrease) of 6.3^o F per 100-feet, the curvature of a light ray is of the same order as the curvature of the Earth.
