As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

Dear Flat Out Hero,

So your denial of our beautiful blue globe Earth is based only on your Christian religious faith, and not on sound scientific reality.  You would be wise to join the 21st century.

Australian YouTuber Wolfie6020 uses his channel to explain the multitude of reasons why the concept of a flat Earth is nothing but balderdash. Obviously, providing factual information on the Internet is a sure way to attract people who believe in the weirdest things.

So Wolfie6020 was given a challenge by fellow YouTuber Flat Out Hero. He had to prove you can fly from point A to point B to point C, and then back to point A, with the distance between each point being the same and by taking a 90-degree turn at every point. The bet was worth $100,000.

“It’s impossible, but don’t tell the globetards that! This is the final nail in the ball Earth coffin, and I am happy to be the one to hammer it in!!!” Flat Out Hero stated in his boisterous comment.

Such a shape is impossible to draw on a flat plane because an equilateral triangle, as described by the flat-Earther, would not have angles bigger (or smaller) than 60 degrees. But on the surface of a sphere, the shape is perfectly feasible.

Having nothing to lose and $100,000 to gain, Wolfie6020 took on the challenge and shared his flight plan in a video posted at the end of October, which has now been watched more than 5.7 million times. The flight path goes from the Galapagos to the Gulf of Guinea in Africa, then all the way to the North Pole, and back down to the Galapagos. Each leg is about 10,000 kilometers (6,215 miles) or roughly one-quarter of the length of the equator.


The video showed Woflie6020 first listing the conditions of the bet as put forward by Flat Out Hero and concluded with these words: “Mr Flat Out Hero, your challenge has been answered. The requirements, as you stated them, have been satisfied! It is now your turn to honor your challenge and pay me the $100,000. I plan to give half of that to the Westmead Children's Hospital and use the other half as prize money in future contests on this channel. So let's see if you're a man of your word and will honor your challenge!”

Flat Out Hero responded to the video with complaints about using a digital chart instead of an old-fashioned paper flight chart. Wolfie6020 then demonstrated that the result would be the same, at which point Flat Out Hero accepted that the route had indeed been plotted but claimed that it wasn’t flyable. 

Commenters accused the flat-Earther of moving the goal posts and not actually having the money to pay up. The lesson here is don’t make a bet if you have neither the facts nor the money.

But Flat Out Hero, who issued the challenge, has moved the goal posts once again.  Now Flat Out Hero wants to be taken on the flight (not the original requirement to win).

Now that Wolfie6020 successfully met the challenge, Flat Out Hero now says NO - and moves the goal posts. 

Flat Out Hero originally said to use any flight chart.  Now he wants it done on a specific type of flight chart.
New rule - use the SkyVector flight chart.  

So here below Wolfie6020 completes the challenge successfully using the SkyVector flight chart...

$100,000 Challenge

1. Using flight charts – the only navigational maps that pilots can use to navigate – the only ones that actually get them where they are going.

2. Using flight charts, travel from point A to point B.

3. Make a 90-degree turn, travel the same distance you did the first time from point B to point C.

4. Make another 90-degree angle turn, travel the same distance you did in the first few legs and get home.

5. Map that out using the only navigable maps that we know.

6. Can’t use a Globe to navigate?  Yes you can.

7. Map that flight route – if you can do it.  $100,000 to the winner.

Making two right angles and arriving back home is only possible on a globe Earth.

On a flat surface, traveling and making two 90-degree angles would never get you back to the same place.  But on a flat Earth, traveling and making two 60-angles (makes an equilateral triangle) will get you back to the starting point.

It’s important to point out that no POSITIVE PROOF has ever been presented as evidence that the Earth is flat. Only negative irrational and unscientific theories have been exhibited.

All attempts to prove the Earth is flat are based upon efforts to cast doubt on the validity of scientific data that clearly demonstrates that the Earth is a globe - rather than showing proof of flatness.

POSITIVE PROOF you need to provide for us:
A real photograph taken from an elevation of 500 miles or more above the surface of the Earth, that clearly shows the Earth is flat.
A real photograph taken of the flat Earth edge.

If no edge, then a real photograph of the infinite expanse.

If no infinite expanse, then a real photograph of the dome.

If no dome, then at least 1,000 photos of the 25,000 mile long impenetrable ice wall.

If no ice wall, then a real photograph of the lost civilizations that are there.

If no lost civilizations, then what is your next guess?
