As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

Richard Hopkins - Flat Earth advocate FAIL - flat Earther MrThriveAndSurvive deceiving people once again


Dear Readers,   

Richard Hopkins (MrThriveAndSurvive) biblical literalist flat Earther published another YouTube video to deceive people into thinking that the horizon always rises to eye level.

What is very obvious in the following video by Soundly, is that Richard Hopkins (MrThriveAndSurvive) does not understand what the globe model, is or how it functions.

11 months ago I issued a public challenge to flatearth proponents. I'll reissue the challenge again in light of MrThriveAndSurvive's acceptance (I have a feeling he wasn't aware of the challenge 11 months ago). In any case grab a P1000, P900, telescope, or your favorite 300 mm - 2000 mm telephoto lens, go to the same locations (see Locations section) and replicate the same photographs.

To keep it honest you must do the following. - Visit the same locations - Select a day with good seeing conditions so there is no ambiguity related to poor seeing conditions. I suggest the cooler seasons; late fall, and/or winter. - Use a super telephoto lens (I suggest a P1000) for best results. Any photographs taken with less than a 300mm equivalent optical magnification will not qualify as honest as they won't be good enough for observation replication. See Walter

Locations:
There are 4 main locations and a number of sub locations:

- The transmission lines can be observed from 30.077785, -90.404183
-- I highly suggest you take a boat and not your car as it's very dangerous in that location on the Interstate.
-- you'll need a 2000mm lens (or equivalent) to get this type of observation though you can still see it with you eyes on a good day.

- Little Tensas Bayou can be observed at 30.368594, -91.625981 that's a public access boat ramp so it's very safe.

- The third location is 30.019355, -90.155232.
-- Go to the top level of One Lakeway Center's parking garage.
-- I suggest you rent a room in the Marriott hotel on the Causeway side to reproduce the observation discussed in this video.
-- Again bring your P900, P1000, or 2000mm + equivalent lens

- The last main location is the North shore. 30.364750, -90.094663
-- I suggest also going to Sunset Point Fishing Pier as well.

Of course there are a number of sub locations around those main locations.

MrThriveAndSurvive still does not comprehend the Moon’s Field Rotation in the sky

The Moon's orientation changes naturally to an observer on the Earth as it crosses the night sky, east to west.  That's becuase we live on a rotating sphere with an axis tilted 23.5-degrees.

So MrThriveAnd Survive, do you understand the photo below?
Both photos taken at the same time, from two different telescopes.  
The altitude/azimuth orientation is what you see standing on the ground, turning to the Moon and looking up directly at it. 
Polar aligned (equatorial mount) is a telescope setup to automatically follow the moon, as it moves east-west across the sky, based on the Earth's 23.5-degree rotational axis.
So can you wrap your head around that or not?

MrThriveAndSurvive thinks that the Moon does not exist, because it bounces around in the following video.

Fact check = YOU FAIL.  That bouncing is due to your incorrect equatorial/polar telescope alignment for that session.  You don't know how to properly setup and align a telescope.

Flat Earthers believe space is fake. So that means spacecraft, space stations, space suits etc. are all fake too. They use the perceived "strength" and "sucking power" of a vacuum as their proof. As usual, like a vacuum, their proofs come to nothing.

StupidMonkey says, "This bottle was designed to keep pressure contained, not maintain a lower internal pressure.  And that’s the same as the train car, and the spacesuit, and the International Space Station.  They’re simply not designed to contain a vacuum.
