As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

Dear Karen B (Karen B Endecott),

Fact check = YOU FAIL

Stellar parallax measured from the surface of the Earth is the easiest way to prove that Earth is in orbit around the Sun.  Did you not learn that in science class, or did you never take that coarse? 

By deleting the comment from Robert Oberdove reminding you about parallax, we concluded that you purposely want to hid information from your viewers that refute your claims, and thereby continue to spread your flat Earth conspiracy doctrine.

A sad case indeed.

What Karen claims…

“I started to realize that what was pushed as scientific fact was not fact, it was propaganda, opinion.”

Our note - (ie., Karen does not have the scientific knowledge, understanding or intellectual capability to pick out the astronomy/physics flaws presented in those videos.  So then speculation and conspiracy run rampant).

“The so called satellites are just high altitude balloons.
There are no photos of the Earth from space.  NASA just pieces together these high altitude balloon shots.”

“Ships sailing over the horizon just go out of view.  They get so small the human eye can no longer see them.  Not going over the edge, just disappearing from view.”

“Gravity is another thing that they don’t have proof for.  It’s a theory, right?  So they don’t have proof that there is gravity.”

Question from the BBC interviewer, “why do you think that we’re all still taught that the Earth is round”?

Karen answers,

“Well, because think about all the things sort of depend on that.
If you change the shape of the Earth, and you change our cosmology, it effects literally everything.  Right.  So you have people in the place of authority teaching you this as fact, and then it turns out it’s not a fact, well then all your universities come into question, your educational system, government, everything.  And then you find out that you’re wrong, but you built this whole system based on it, are you going to tell anybody? They’d give up their power immediately.”

Karen B Endecott (FECORE) now advocating positive thinking and mood making (ASMR) to help flat Earthers shake off their self-created stress from having to resist the truth of real science in their lives   

Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a term used for an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. It has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia. ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

Although the term ASMR may sound very technical, there’s actually no good science or research behind the phenomenon. The term is believed to have been coined in 2010 by Jennifer Allen, who started a Facebook group dedicated to finding out more about it. The term quickly caught on, as people finally had a way to reference the pleasurable feeling they had been experiencing.

Karen tries to explain that the following sunset phenomena (sun disappearing below the horizon) is caused by atmospheric lensing and refraction together.

... but Professor Stick explains why that is not true.

"Accepting atmospheric lensing and refraction while rejecting the globe earth is just nonsense.  Science is science.  You either accept it all or reject it all.  Don’t go cherry-picking only the parts you like.

But for one atmospheric refraction isn’t always present.  In fact depending on the condition and the atmosphere it could just be normal or the opposite cold happen, which means that this model were true than only sometimes we see the sun set below the earth and sometimes it would just disappear into the vanishing point.  It wouldn’t just be consistent every morning and every night.  Refraction doesn’t just  happen every day, depending on the weather conditions in your location lensing can happen to different degrees.  One example is that a greater gradient of temperatures causes greater refraction, and that can be caused by a number of factors. Gradient of humidity and pressure are also essential factors."
