Flat Earth NOT: trilobites still insisting that the Coriolis Effect is nonsense, but it definitely proves that the Earth rotates
Flat Earth trilobites* still insisting that the Coriolis Effect is nonsense, but it definitely proves that the Earth rotates
Coriolis - an effect whereby a mass moving in a rotating system experiences a force (the Coriolis force ) acting perpendicular to the direction of motion and to the axis of rotation. On the earth, the effect tends to deflect moving objects to the right in the northern hemisphere and to the left in the southern and is important in the formation of cyclonic weather systems.
-
In the northern hemisphere, note the counter-clockwise hurricane weather pattern rotation...
-
-
In the southern hemisphere, note the clockwise cyclone weather pattern rotation...
-
The current stationary flat Earth model does not explain the counter-clockwise or clockwise spin direction of severe storms at all.

Flat Earthers have the brains of a trilobite...
Trilobite, any member of a group of extinct fossil arthropods easily recognized by their distinctive three-lobed, three-segmented form. Trilobites, exclusively marine animals, first appeared at the beginning of the Cambrian Period, about 542 million years ago, when they dominated the seas.

To better understand what the Coriolis force is, and how/why it functions, watch this great video by George Hnatiuk

Airplanes and the Coriolis Effect, by BlueMarbleScience

"This is why we don't consider coriolis when we fly airplanes or helicopters."
Throw the ball and it travels in a straight line. But inside the spinning frame of reference it gets deflected to the right. That "apparent" force of deflection is the Coriolis.
For this trip..
The Coriolis force is only 2.2 pounds on the left side of the aircraft...
You can correct for this by banking the airplane 0.004 degrees.
That means raising the wing edge by only 0.17 inch.
So, since the Coriolis effect is so VERY VERY tiny, a correction is just ignored. It's so slight we don't take it into account. It makes no sense.
Instead, the flight path is adjusted as needed.
And concerning those hovering helicopter FE questions...
