Taboo Conspiracy - ROWBOTHAM 4 - Flat Earth Utah Lake Test - 21 Feet of Missing Curvature - DEBUNKED
Dear readers,
The results of this test by Taboo Conspiracy are invalid because his visual sightings of the opposite shore are of reflections in the water, and not actual round lights themselves.
Here is part of the conversation thread that we had with Taboo Conspiracy. He never acknowledged that his wife said she was shining her light "onto the water."
These are the nice quality images that he showed:

+Taboo Conspiracy, on your video labeled "ROWBOTHAM 4 - Flat Earth Utah Lake Test - 21 Feet of Missing Curvature," at time mark 10:50 your wife says "I’m shining on the water and your seeing me. If I shine up in the air you won’t see me." 1) This is more evidence that you are seeing light reflection off the water, and mistakenly taking that as the direct light itself. 2) Another issue is that your tripod to top-of-camera length may be 30.5-inches, but that is not the lens height above the water line - unless the tripod feet are directly in the water itself.

+Taboo Conspiracy, What is your comment concerning your wife's statement, "I’m shining on the water and your seeing me" Her light is shining DOWN on the water = water reflection is what you are seeing.
The following below is our advice to him, on how to properly conduct a flat/curved Earth experiment.

+Taboo Conspiracy, to do your experiment correctly you need to get in a boat, and travel past the point where atmospheric refraction, atmospheric temperature inversion, and the reflection of light off the water are no longer an issue. So,
a) get a much much better camera
b) put your flashlight on a tripod, and place the feet of the tripod into the water's edge, far away from other lights. Put a filter over the flashlight to change the color of the beam, say to green for easy spotting. Point the flashlight (up/down angle) directly toward where the water MEETS the sky. At the top of the water line. That is your horizon limit.
c) setup your telescope (4-inch or larger) with camera in a boat and VERY CAREFULLY adjust its height to be only 3-feet ABOVE the water.
d) get in the boat and watch the onshore flashlight as you travel directly (perpendicular) away from it. At 4.3 miles' distance, if you can still see the flashlight, that's where the effect of atmospheric refraction/inversion/turbulent takes over.
d) At 4.64 miles distance from the onshore flashlight it should disappear due to the curvature of the Earth & refraction. If with this setup (both flashlight and telescope lens 3-feet above the water) you can still see the flashlight from the boat while 6 and 7 miles from it, then you have proved no curvature.
Try this and show us what you get.
