As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

Flat Earth Perth (Jamie Claydon) - Lake Pontchartrain (Louisiana) causeway analysis FAIL

Dear Readers,

Flat Earth Perth posted the following video claiming that pictures taken by YouTube channel Soundy, at the Lake Pontchartrain (Louisiana) causeway, actually prove that the Earth is flat.  Soundly took offence because he was directly called a liar.

Flat Earth Perth "estimates" the height of the water tower to be 27.6-meters.

But notice that the sizing staircase presented by Flat Earth Perth (starting at the end of the fence) is orientated incorrectly to the true position of the water tower.  That is an ERROR in itself since the WATER TOWER IS NOT DIRECTLY IN LINE WITH THE DIRECTION OF THE FENCE.

Elevation of the ground at that location is 18.8-feet (5.7-meters).

Flat Earth Perth water tower height error is about 30-meters to small.

Walter Bislin posted a comment indicating that after analyzing the shadow that water tower cast on the ground, he determined the water tower to be about 49-meters tall.

I modeled the "Madeville water tower" using the measuring rod into the scene. I don't know the exact height of the tower, but 50 m (Miles Davis confirmed 50 m) plus 6 m ground elevation match the graphics. Without refraction are 27.4 hidden, with 0.25 refraction as used to match the model with the image 13.5 m are hidden.

Update: October 10, 2018

Flat Earth Perth has responded back to Soundy with his additional analysis, saying he was off by 9-meters only, not the large amount that Soundy claimed.

Flat Earth Perth said,
"I have done a thorough analysis of the water tower height above sea level to the bottom of the water tank (not the top). I now calculate 37.246m. My methods can be seen in the files below"

So on October 15, 2018 Jamie signed up for a seat on the first Blue Origin spacecraft.   No payment required at this point.  Let's wait and see if he is serious about taking the trip, or this is all just a comedy ploy on his part.

In the following YouTube video by Shawn Hufford, it is discussed that the drone Flat Earth Perth wants to buy with the donated money, will not be able to get off the ground with the 30x selected camera.

"As a commercially licenced Drone pilot I watched FEPE’s gofundme in amusement as it was clear he had no idea of the type of drone needed to lift that 30x camera.

Every flat Earther who donated believing that camera would actually get off the ground is clueless about drones and gullible."
