Dear Visitors,                                                                                                                                    April 21, 2017

Thank you for stopping at FlatEarthLunacy.com

As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

TheMorgile - Globe Is Dead Section 4 ~ FLAT EARTH (Nov, 2016) Documentary *END

Dear TheMorgile,

At time mark 2:20 you state, "Right there is due west, almost full moon in the morning, that's about east. This right here, a full moon in the morning, now how does that work, in the heliocentric model? How are you going to have a full moon in the west in the morning? Figure that out."

Fact check = You FAIL
The proof is in the details.

According to the US Naval Observatory...
Full Moon on August 18, 2016 was at 09:26 Universal Time
Your observation on August 19, 2016 was at 7:00 am EST (11:00 UT)

... was done a full day and 1.5 hours AFTER full Moon.

THAT IS ENOUGH to be able to see the MOON in the morning sky at an altitude of 12.5 degrees right at sunrise (6:41 EST).

See my Stellarium snapshot below, taken directly at sunrise.

So what you saw IS IN ACCORDANCE with how the Moon behaves according to the HELIOCENTRIC model.

(Waning Gibbous Moon is 2% less than full, right after full Moon, so observable in the morning sky)

When making observations of the Sun and Moon in the sky, always use an accurate compass and carefully record the time of day/night, along with the altitude and azimuth of the Sun and Moon.

You did not do that.

In your commentary you missed that it was after full moon by more than a day - and that is significant to understanding where the Moon is in sky.

You are in error.

Your words, "almost full moon in the morning" gives credence to the fact that you did not pay close attention to the details, and did not understand the movement of the Moon in the sky.

Fact check = You FAIL
What's also very interesting is that according to flat Earth models (like the picture below) the Sun and Moon are always directly (180 degrees) opposite each other in the sky. That means that when observed from the ground below, half of the Moon will be in sunlight all the time. The half lit lunar bottom visible from the flat Earth surface would rotate 360-degrees each and every day.

At no time would a new moon (completely dark), full moon (completely full) or other in between partial phases be seen.

Since that is not the reality of what happens - flat Earth theory fails and is void.

Your support of a flat Earth is against all reason and logic.

The world is, as it is. Not according to the Bible or your personal wishes. Get over it.
