Crrow777 - Help Film The Moon/Venus Dec. 7th 2015 & Expose The Lies
Dear Crrow777,
Fact check = You FAIL
The Moon is not transparent, period.
Fact:
All start occultation videos clearly show the object disappearing (covered up) by the Moon.
All END occultation videos clearly show the object reappear from behind the Moon.
Your error:
You are only looking for the "transparent" Moon at the end of an occultation.
Why is that?
Because of the phase of the Moon during an occultation, and because the sky at that time may not be completely dark.....the circular boundary of the Moon where the object reappears after occultation cannot be clearly discerned or estimated.
This problem is acute during the crescent Moon phase.
That leads you to incorrectly conclude that the Moon is transparent.
You said yourself this only happens during a crescent moon phase. That is the phase hardest to see the Moon's edge.
Occultations that occur near full Moon do not have this issue, because the entire lunar outline is clearly visible in the sky.
Here is the time/date information for the occultation you want to observe:
Lunar occultation of Venus on December 7, 2015
Fairbanks, Alaska
Occultation begins: 6:43 a.m. Alaska Standard Time (AKST)
Occultation ends: 7:50 a.m. AKST
Sunrise: 10:33 a.m. AKST
Anchorage, Alaska
Occultation begins: 6:34 a.m. AKST
Occultation ends: 7:47 a.m. AKST
Sunrise: 9:56 a.m. AKST
Dawson, Yukon, Canada
Occultation begins: 7:50 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST)
Occultation ends: 8:55 a.m. PST
Sunrise: 10:48 a.m. PST
So, did you watch the occultation?
What did you see?
Here is a video that shows the nice reemergence of a Mars occultation.
This proves that when the Moons "boundary is clearly visible," your transparent Moon is an illusion.
