As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

Taboo Conspiracy - The Space Shuttle Joke Was on You - backs out of his Sun/Moon gravity claim


Dear Taboo Conspiracy,                

Fact check = You FAIL
Your claim that ...  "Weigh an object on an accurate scale when both the moon and sun are allegedly on the opposite side of the earth (below your feet). Then use the same accurate scale to measure the weight when both the moon and sun are above your head. If there's no change - then gravity is 100% BS."

WRONG - for a person standing on the Earth's surface that means...
a) when the Sun/Moon is directly overhead, your weight is You - Sun/Moon gravity
b) when the Sun/Moon is directly under your feet, your weight is You +  Sun/Moon gravity

=> which leaves only the Earth's gravitational attraction on YOU

Conclusion = Your whole idea is preposterous and proves that you don't understand what gravity really is.  
As such, how can you even comment about gravity?

Fact: The gravitational attraction of the (Sun/Moon) on anyone standing on the Earth's surface is very very very very minuscule, and therefore essentially has VERY LITTLE EFFECT ON YOU.

Your fallacy 1 - admitting that the Sun and Moon do exert a gravitational influence of the Earth ("weigh an object on an accurate scale") but yet denying and trying to prove that gravity does not exist.  That is contradictory.

Fact: - the Earth's acceleration of gravity is 9.8 meters /sec/sec on the surface.  That is why people don't just float off into the sky.  

Fact - the Suns' acceleration of gravity is 274 meters /sec/sec on its own surface.   BUT - since the Sun is so far away from the Earth, and all forces diminish in strength based on the inverse square law (double the distance away and the force is 1/4 of what it was), its effect on the Earth is nil... 

g=G(M/r²)

g - local gravitational field
G - gravitational constant
M - mass of Sun
r - distance from Sun

G=6.67428×10^-11 N(m/kg)²
M=1.9891×10^30 kg
r=1 AU=149.60×10^9 m

g=0.0059 m/s²

So the Sun's acceleration of gravity on the Earth is 0.0059 meters/sec/sec, which is only .0006 percent that of the Earth gravity.  No wonder you're not pulled and squashed every day by the Sun as it passes over head and sets below the horizon. 

Fact - the Moon's acceleration of gravity as felt on the Earth is .000033 meters/sec/sec.  

Fact - Even though the Sun is 391 times as far away from the Earth as the Moon, its force on the Earth is about 175 times as large. Yet its tidal effect is smaller than that of the Moon because tides are caused by the difference in gravity field across the Earth.

You FAIL for making claims that are unsubstantiated by real world evidence.

Fact check = You FAIL
After we pointed out to you that in order to have the Sun/Moon directly overhead, as your experiment requires - that could only happen for people living between the living between Tropic of Cancer (23° North) and the Tropic of Capricorn (23° South) on the Earth...

...you then stated it was acceptable to do the experiment even when the Sun/Moon was not directly overhead.

Fact check = You FAIL 
Then when asked OK, then tell me at what date and time I could test your experiment from Columbus, Ohio, you just disappeared and no longer answered this question.

Conclusion - when you were finally put up against the wall, you had no explanation to back up your claim, so you just ran away and exited the scene.  

So get a new life and stop spreading your flat Earth delusions!

The gravity of the sun supposedly holds the entire earth and all of the planets in their respective vortex orbits and can still yank comets leaving the solar system, cause those same comets to then double their speed to catch back up with the speeding away sun and still maintain steady tabular performances. Yet, you're claiming that the sun's supposed gravitational effect on us is "very very very minuscule"? Nonsense and I don't care how you try to spin it! You silly religious zealots believe in imaginary unproven forces that grab your feet and hold you to a ball twirling in a vortex through space chasing after a sun all based on a gravitational pull of a sun that is actually "very very very minuscule." Yeah, that moon gravity pulls the entire oceans on opposite sides of the earth at the same time but has no effect on a person or a weight on a digital scale. Wow! Brilliant stupidity! I actually plan on doing the centrifugal test on my next trip to Arizona. I'll test what happens on a digital scale as I travel from Flagstaff (6,910 feet elevation) to Lake Powell, Utah (3,652 feet). Under the globe model, the weight should weigh more in Flagstaff. I'm guessing the weight will weigh more at Lake Powell. Elevation changes are supposed to be very minor in comparison to latitude changes according to you globe faithful. We'll put it to the test.

Our answer:  When considering the force of gravity, what is important is the mass (amount of material) of BOTH OBJECTS and the DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM.

For example:
the force of gravity between a 150-pound person and the Sun separated at distance 93-million miles is = 0.4 newton's
the force of gravity between the Earth and the Sun separated at distance 93-million miles is = 3,538,407,446,710,300,000,000 newton’s   

which is basically 1 - heptillions times more  

even though both the person and the Earth are the same distance away from the Sun

That is why the earth is locked in orbit by the Sun's gravity

Now concerning the proposed weight experiment that you want to do, from your two selected locations, you will not any definitive results on which to base any conclusions.  

Those two locations are not far enough apart (by longitude) and the big difference in elevation will significantly affect your measurements.  

Flagstaff AZ latitude & longitude        6,910 feet elevation
35.1983° N, 111.6513° W

Lake Powell UT latitude & longitude    3,652 feet elevation
37.0683° N, 111.2433° W

An easy experiment that you can do - that proves the Earth is a round rotating globe

Weight is different based upon Earth latitude.  Based on the two locations that you selected, the differnce in weight due to the Earth's rotation will be about 0.45 grams.   

Please choose two locations much farther apart (by longitude) and having the same general elevation above sea level.
