Flat Earth theory now shatters - by new man made satellite bright enough for everyone to see
Dear Readers,
All flat Earth proponents who have insisted that rockets cannot work in space, and there are no man made satellites in orbit around the Earth, will need to now come to terms when they see this new bright object in the sky
Update September 5, 2017 - there have been no sightings of the Mayak satellite, so we will no longer be updating this post.

Update August 8, 2017 - satellite Mayak is in orbit but DID NOT DEPLOY (open its reflective polymer film) so IT CANNOT BE EASILY SEEN.
This is a disappointing lost opportunity...

July 21, 2017 - news update
The new man-made satellite Mayak (Beacon) was successfully launched into Earth orbit 700 Km above the ground, but there is no confirmation yet that it deployed (the reflective polymer tedrahedrical film opened up).
No one has yet spotted the satellite in the sky. Be among the first.

July 24, 2017 - news update - SATELLITE HAS BEEN SPOTTED, but much fainter than anticipated
Update 3: We have had several more conflicting observation reports. Some people have reported a complete "no show", but several others have reported seeing Mayak in agreement with our predictions, although not as bright as expected and flashing, as would be expected for a rotating object with large, flat surfaces. Space-Track have still not given the object a name. It could be that the people who did not see it were unlucky with the attitude and Sun-satellite geometry during the pass.
Visit this site to find continuing individual reports of Mayak observations, or attempted observations...
