john armstrong (aka flatearthjohnny) - sunset zoom nikon coolpix p900
Dear john armstrong,
Your statement:
"sunset" 06/19/16 taken with my p900 it sure doesn't look like its 93 million miles away to me!"
… is WRONG
So what about the image of the Sun makes you say that it is not 93-miles away?
Please post your logic and math calculations on your YouTube site that proves your claim.
Fact check = You FAIL
How do you explain that fact that planets MERCURY (on May 7 ,2003 and November 8, 2006 and May 9, 2016) and VENUS (on June 8, 2004 and June 6, 2012) have been seen crossing IN FRONT of the Sun?
This cannot happen if the Sun is 3,000 miles up as claimed by current flat Earth models.
If not 3,000 miles up, then you tell me how high the Sun is.
Fact:
The distance to any celestial object cannot be determined by how it looks in the sky to an observer (unless you know its actual real size).
The Sun is about 1/2 degree in angular size when viewed in the sky.
As the following diagram shows, one cannot determine distance based on the angular size of an object in the sky... In each instance below, a tree appears to be the same size...
- A tree 1-meter high at a distance of 5.7 meters = object appears 10 degrees wide
- A tree 2-meters high at a distance of 11.4 meters = object appears 10 degrees wide
- A tree 3-meters high at a distance of 17.1 meters = object appears 10 degrees wide
