Dear Mrs. Vida Vida,
By ridiculing rather than taking the $1,000 challenge to providing "positive proof" that the Earth is flat, you have sunk deeper into mental abyss and distrust.
You are in denial. It's very interesting that of all living creatures on the Earth, human beings are the only ones to deny their living reality.
You suffer from self-denial, which is the refusal to accept reality or fact, acting as if a painful event, thought or feeling did not exist. It is considered one of the most primitive of the defense mechanisms because it is characteristic of early childhood development.
Denial, and also abnegation is used for a psychological defense mechanism, when a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence.
This Denial is akin to Stephen Colbert’s “Truthiness,” in that these deniers adamantly refuse to accept verified scientific facts because they get in the way of their own rigid ideas.
Even if you proved that the Earth was not a globe (which no one in this current age of science has done) that in no way presupposes that the Earth is flat.
Nature allows for infinite variety, and therefore there are not just TWO CHOICES (flat or globe) that the Earth can be.
The shape of the Earth could be concave, convex, look like a parabola, rectangular, look like a cylinder, an ice cream cone, etc.
Since there aren't just 2 choices for the shape of the Earth, to prove it's flat you need to provide evidence that shows a flat Earth.
Here is the challenge:
Since you know the Earth is flat, this should be a cakewalk for you. I'll give you $1,000 for the following.... 1) a picture of the flat Earth edge or 2) a picture taken from 300,000 feet above the Earth surface that clearly shows the Earth is round or 3) a picture from space of the underside of the flat Earth.
Her motivation for supporting flat Earth conspiracy is strictly religious based, as she says...

My questions: Why is it that many who believe in Jesus abandon logic and science?

Paul Gabriel no. because what your asking is irrelevant. i cant go 300,000 ft in the air. im not a frkin navigator to go anywhere.. 2nd, prove the Earth is a Globe. not using CGI. so why try to make a Flat Earther prove Flat Earth. Shouldnt it be such a walk in the park to prove a Globe Earth.
