As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

Dear Flat Earth,

Fact check = You FAIL
Your statement, "the horizon never drops below eye level.

WRONG: Read this post and CHECK THE PICTURES BELOW.

The first part of your statement is true. In elementary school we all learned that the Earth is a beautiful blue round globe. Many people have not tested that for themselves, but trust that civilizations' teachings bring you the benefit of correct answers from 5,000 years of human trial and error.

And then many folks in junior and senior high-school, college and general life have experimented for themselves and confirmed that the Earth is a globe.

And the entire human population has seen the photos from the 5 world space programs (not just NASA) that confirm beyond any doubt that the Earth is a globe.

These countries launched satellites into space and have pictures of a globe Earth:
Japan, China, Brazil, Argentina, CNES, ESA, India, Indonesia, Republic of Belarus, Pakistan, Russia, Sweden, Venezuela, South Korea, United States, Iran, Israel, France and Thailand.

AND NOT ONE SINGLE PHOTO OF A FLAT EARTH EXISTS.

Your statement, "There is balloon footage at 110,000 feet, without a fish eye lens...there's no curvature there."

WRONG answer. There is slight visible curvature at 110,000 feet (5.6 degrees only) so you will probably need some 180/360 measuring instruments to verify that. The human eye would not detect it.

"The horizon is not at eye level. Your eye is at eye level, the (Earth) horizon is at (distant) ground level."

Travel high enough above a flat Earth and the horizon will also drop.
It's just simple geometry. Did you not take geometry or trigonometry in high school?

In general the horizon is seen at eye level, until you get to heights much higher than a balloon or commercial airline flight...

At a height of 35,000 feet above the Earth's surface you can see a curvature of 3.3 degrees.
At a height of 100,000 feet above the Earth's surface you can see a curvature of 5.6 degrees
At a height of 200,000 feet above the Earth's surface you can see a curvature of 7.9 degrees
At a height of 300,000 feet above the Earth's surface you can see a curvature of 9.7 degrees

So you need to get to 300,000 feet before you can say for certain whether the horizon is flat or not.

Anything lower that 300,000 feet will not due. You will come to the wrong conclusion.

It's not a matter of what you or I believe, it's a matter of what really is.
So here is something to think about...
Say the claim that the Earth is not a round globe is true. That in itself does not prove that the Earth is flat.
The shape of the Earth is not confined to just 2 choices; flat or round. I could be any shape - ice cream cone
To prove something evidence must be provided.
To prove the Earth is flat, a picture of the Earth above 300,000 feet showing flatness needs to be shown.

Where is that evidence? Please show me.

Just trying to negate that the Earth is not round only proves it's not round. Not what shape it really is.

Picture 1 & 2 demonstrates clearly that the horizon is not at eye level.
Picture 3 shows how to calculate the horizon dip from level horizontal based on the observers height above sea level.
