As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim. Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat. That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

Dear ThePottersClay,

Fact check = You FAIL in your assertion that your video proves the Earth is flat.

This is a very interesting case.
The photo published and displayed in your video is evidence that the Earth is a globe; due to the curvature of the Earth and atmospheric refraction.

Here is the article/picture that we will now analyze for visibility above the horizon:

1. The Silhouette of Barre des Ecrins (4102 m) in the middle left of the image, from Pic de Finestrellex`s (2820 m) at 440 Km, before sunrise.

Variables for the calculation of what is visible, and what is hidden, based on Earth curvature (see print screen below):

Distance = 440 Km
Where is the observer? On Pic de Finestrelles which itself is at an elveation of 2820 meters.
Assume the observer on Pic de Finestrelles is 2 meters tall, so his actual eye level observation is from (2820 + 2 = 2822 meters elevation)
The observed mountain Silhouette of Barre des Ecrins reaches to a height of 4102 meters.

Based on globe Earth calculations taking into account atmospheric refraction (which lets you see farther under the curvature), (4102 - 3719 = 383 meters of Barre des Ecrins should be visible in the picture.

So on a globe Earth that has an atmosphere, the silhouette of Barra des Ecrins should (and is) visible from Pic de Finestrellex.

Summary:
The only thing your video does prove is that you don't know mathematics and the physics of atmospheric refraction.

I suggest that you take a Physics 101 course before you make more videos that expose your ignorance and blind devotion to the flat Earth conspiracy.
