Introduction

Dear Visitors,                                                                                                                                    April 21, 2017

Thank you for stopping at FlatEarthLunacy.com

As a scientist with college degree in Astronomy, minor in Physics and Mathematics, I was appalled to find folks telling outright falsities and presenting bad science to bolster suspicion of our known accepted reality - that the Earth is a beautiful blue globe.

This blog clearly shows scientific proofs that debunk everything that flat Earth proponents claim.  Here we also expose the comments those YouTube video channels delete, because they don't want you to see them.

The Earth is not flat.  That claim is a conspiracy theory perpetrated by ignorant people who have ulterior personal motives and agendas.

The Earth is a beautiful blue spheroid globe spinning on an axis 23.5° once each day, and orbiting the Sun every 365.25 days.

Blessing Emmanuel - Flat Earth - How NASA, facebook and Youtube conspiracy was Exposed by BBC

Dear Blessing Emmanuel,

Fact check = You FAIL
What a comedy of errors and science illiteracy.

Why on Earth would anyone every consider UNILAD or Viral USA to be an outlet or spokesperson for NASA?

UniLad is a website promoting lad culture aimed at male university students in the United Kingdom.

With video titles like this...
Because Fuck your rules, That's Why
Granny's Guide To Slang
Dog Hates Being Flipped Off

Content described by its founders as, "for when you are bored in the library" and "the 'tongue in cheek', article based solution to library boredom"

Your video shows minutes of curved Earth footage, yet you are concerned because you can't see stars or airplanes.

No stars is simple; video frame rate and shutter speed of the camera are not long enough to pickup the much fainter stars

Frame rate refers to the number of individual frames that comprise each second of video you record, also known as FPS (frames per second.) The most common frame rates in video are 24, 25 and 30 frames per second.

Shutter speed refers to the amount of time that each individual frame is exposed for. In video, the shutter speed you use will almost always be a fraction of a second. The number used in setting a camera’s shutter speed refers to the denominator of that fraction of a second. For example, if you set your camera’s shutter speed to 60, that means that each frame is being exposed for 1/60th of a second.

No airplane is simple; viewed from the 250-mile altitude above the Earth's surface airplanes are to small to see with that particular video camera.

Example:
The Boeing 777 has a wingspan of 200 feet.
Viewed from a distance of 250-miles (the elevation of the ISS above sea level) that airplane apparent angular size in the Earth's atmosphere would be would 0.009 degrees.

The human eye, for instance, can normally see resolution to about 1 arc-minute, which is 60,000-times worse than what is needed to see the airplanes.

So do the math, and you will find out.

No clouds moving is simple; too small to see, same as above.

However, since it takes about 90-minutes for the ISS to orbit the Earth one time, cloud movement and cloud shape changes are very noticeable when comparing what is seen after a 90-minutes, 180-minute, 270-minutes etc. interval.

So on the very next orbit of the ISS, cloud changes can be seen.
